This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Vice President of Technology - Remote (WFH) in the United States. This executive role provides strategic leadership over both technical and corporate IT operations, driving innovative engineering solutions across complex government healthcare programs. You will guide software development, cloud architecture, and IT infrastructure while collaborating with business development, strategy, and engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. In addition to leading large-scale proposal efforts, you will manage internal IT operations, cybersecurity compliance, and technology strategy to ensure operational excellence. The role demands visionary leadership, effective cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable strategies. Candidates should possess experience in DoD, VA, or HHS healthcare IT systems and demonstrate a track record of leading complex, mission-critical projects. This is a fully remote role with opportunities to influence technology strategy at the executive level. \n Accountabilities Lead engineering initiatives, setting standards for software development, testing, tooling, and infrastructure to ensure quality, maintainability, and security. Serve as technical lead for client-facing solutions, analyzing requirements and developing reliable, cost-effective software solutions. Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations to enhance program performance. Lead corporate IT operations, including cybersecurity compliance, cloud management (AWS, Azure), and strategic technology investments. Oversee large-scale proposals, including Concept of Operations creation, technical solution development, and collaboration with business development teams. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and technology vendors to support ongoing solution delivery. Manage, mentor, and inspire teams of subject matter experts and engineers to achieve organizational objectives. Participate in executive strategic planning, certification processes (NIST, CMMI, CMMC, ISO), and company-wide management activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in complex, mission-critical software or engineering systems. Demonstrated technical leadership in healthcare IT programs within DoD, VA, or HHS. Proficiency in cloud environments including AWS and Microsoft Azure. Experience managing corporate IT functions, budgets, and strategic technology initiatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams. Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI). Strategic thinker with a track record of successful technical proposal leadership and large-scale project delivery.
