EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or other related field
• Masters in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or other related field required

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of five (5) - ten (10) years of progressive operations work experience; minimum of three (3) years of experience in operations within a health care work environment
• Five (5) years senior management experience in a complex multifaceted organization; minimum of three (3) years of management experience within healthcare
• Experience in working with physicians and senior management
• Experience in financial applications, reimbursement, budgetary, and P&L responsibility for high volume complex clinical and operational services

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Knowledge of governance, leadership, management and service-oriented operations is required
• Knowledge of applicable Federal and New York State rules and regulations regarding Article 28 facilities and reimbursement
• Proficient in the Joint Commission standards and survey process
• Knowledge of information systems applications, implementation and operations in a multiple site healthcare organization
• Significant experience with physicians and senior management
• Significant experience in development and implementation of operational reengineering, and strategic planning
• Individual must have a proven performance track record
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong strategic planning, analytical and organizational skills
