Description

The Vice President, Procurement’s role is to oversee all activities involved in the acquisition, production and distribution of the organization’s supplies and equipment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience in supply chan. Master’s degree preferred. At least three years’ experience in supply chain or related field.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and create procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Oversee the implementation of standardization programs for all supply chain functions, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and managing disaster supplies and processes, ensuring Oceans is prepared for disasters.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Develop a centralized procurement program that adds value and efficiency to the organization.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
