Your opportunity Huhtamaki is strengthening its global Procurement organization and is now looking for a Vice President, Procurement – Paperboard & Traded Goods. This is a senior leadership role with global responsibility, combining strategic responsibility for the Paperboard and Traded Goods categories, whilst acting as the Procurement Business Partner for the Foodservice segment. You will be a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team and play an essential role in delivering Huhtamaki’s strategy through world-class sourcing, supplier partnerships, cost competitiveness, and sustainability initiatives. You will lead an international procurement team and work closely with business and functional leaders across regions to shape sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver long-term value across critical global categories. This role reports directly to our EVP Procurement, Changsheng Wu, and is part of the Procurement Leadership Team (PLT), working closely alongside segment leadership. Where you’ll be This role is located at our Espoo HQ in Finland. What you'll be doing Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing global procurement team, fostering strong leadership, capability building, and talent development. Own and drive the global category strategies for Paperboard and Traded Goods, aligned with Huhtamaki’s business and sustainability ambitions. Act as a strategic Procurement Business Partner to the Foodservice segment, ensuring strong alignment between business priorities and sourcing strategies. Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and partnerships on a global scale. Lead global sourcing and negotiation activities to deliver measurable cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation. Track market dynamics, supply chain risks, and geopolitical developments affecting the categories, proactively identifying and mitigating potential impacts. Drive sourcing excellence by ensuring procurement practices consistently deliver against Huhtamaki’s highest standards for quality, service, compliance, and sustainability. Establish and drive performance frameworks and KPIs to measure category effectiveness, supplier performance, risk management, and long-term value creation across your global procurement portfolio. What you’ll bring to the role University degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related field. Extensive experience in senior procurement or sourcing leadership roles within an international environment. Strong track record in global category management, ideally built within the paper/packaging industry. Proven experience leading and developing international teams and working effectively across cultures. Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level and build trusted partnerships with senior business leaders across a complex global organization.
