This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact AI, GenAI, and Data initiatives across the region. The Senior Project Manager ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while complying with MUFG project governance, risk management, regulatory, and responsible AI standards. The role partners closely with business, technology, risk, compliance, and regional PMO stakeholders to maximize business value from AI and Data investments. Job Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic AI, GenAI, and Data programs and projects, from initiation through closure, in accordance with MUFG Project Management Standards. Define and manage project scope, objectives, success criteria, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders. Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Identify, assess, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests as required. Act as the primary point of contact for senior business stakeholders, technology leads, vendors, and regional / head office counterparts. Establish and maintain effective project governance, including steering committees, decision forums, approvals, and status reporting. Ensure alignment with Regional PMO governance, Head Office requirements, and MUFG policies and standards. Oversee delivery of AI, GenAI, analytics, and data platform initiatives aligned with business priorities and enterprise architecture standards. Ensure responsible AI principles are embedded across the project lifecycle, including model risk, ethics, data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear, executive-level communication and decision materials. Manage project financials, including budget planning, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance management. Lead vendor engagement and performance management to ensure contractual, delivery, and quality expectations are met. Optimize utilization of internal and external resources across concurrent initiatives. Provide accurate, timely, and executive-ready project status reports, dashboards, and governance artefacts. Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned. Contribute to continuous improvement of AI & Data delivery practices and PMO standards. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior project managers as required. Approved project charters, business cases, and project management plans Steering committee and executive-level status reports Risk, issue, dependency, and change registers Financial tracking, forecasting, and variance reports Post-implementation reviews and lessons learned documentation Job Requirements Minimum 10 years of IT project management experience, including 3 years in leading large-scale, complex initiatives. Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2). Experience in delivering AI, GenAI, data analytics, or data platform programs Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related discipline Agile / Scrum certification is an advantage Experience operating in regulated environments such as banking or financial services Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder, regional initiatives5.3 Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Solid understanding of AI, data analytics, cloud platforms, and modern data architecture Strong risk, issue, dependency, and financial management capabilities High level of judgment, accountability, and attention to detail Ability to operate effectively in a regional, multi-cultural environment Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is an equal opportunity employer.
