JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Supply Chain Management will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations of our organization. This executive position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in supply chain management, logistics, and process improvement. This Leader is responsible for managing and providing leadership for all aspects of Inventory, Material flow, from the supply base through receiving. This individual will manage inventory levels, supplier on-time delivery, warehousing and light assembly to ensure that both customer orders are fulfilled on time. This position is a key member of the Leadership Team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS/BA degree, required
· Greater than 5 years of Leadership level experience in Materials Management and Supply Chain
· Experience working within a Quality System (AS,TS,ISO, other)
· US Citizenship or Resident Alien/Green Card status required (due to on-site government programs)
· Continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing knowledge and implementation experience required.
Desired Characteristics: * · ERP system implementation experience (EPICOR)
· Strategic Procurement experience

Responsibilities
  • This position provides day to day leadership and long-range planning for the Management of Material, Inventory and Supply Chain.
    · Maintains the standard for a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
    · Champion the use of continuous improvement tool to achieve daily operational objectives
    · Establish and implement best practice systems and processes that support inventory management and purchasing
    · Build robust and automated reporting tools that deliver simple and effective communication to their team and leadership.
    · Participates as a member of the operations leadership team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
    · Analyze, develop and execute annual action plans towards improving both Inventory Management and customer on-time delivery while balancing working capital turns.
    · Lead process development of dynamic analysis of both internal and external customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to support the execution of build plans.
    · Coordinate with cross-functional departments to develop the best strategy for material planning and buying to support customer demand and cost objectives.

· Has supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.
