Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

AWP Safety is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Talent Acquisition to lead enterprise-wide recruitment strategies, processes, and teams during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This role is critical to achieving AWP’s strategic goals through a focus on field workforce expansion, operational excellence, and digital enablement. The VP, Talent Acquisition will develop and execute a best-in-class hiring engine for both hourly and salaried roles, with a focus on attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent in a competitive labor market.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYER BRANDING

  • Strengthen AWP’s employment brand in the utilities and infrastructure sector, targeting key talent pools (field, skilled trades, leadership).
  • Own the candidate lifecycle from application to onboarding, ensuring a compelling and seamless experience.
  • Leverage technology and automation (e.g., ATS, CRM, D365 integrations) to improve speed and quality of hires.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition leadership roles, ideally in field-based, private equity-owned, or high-growth service businesses.
  • Proven track record scaling TA functions in multi-site, high-volume environments (utilities, telecom, construction, logistics, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of recruiting systems, marketing platforms, and TA analytics.
  • Experience leading through transformation, including enterprise technology rollouts (e.g., Microsoft D365).
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and partner cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or HR certifications a plus.
