TRM is a 2nd line of defense function, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer of BNY, that provides oversight and challenge to the company's Technology organization and related business areas. The goal of TRM is to make sure that Technology, Cyber / Information Security, Resiliency, Data and Technology Third Party Risks are clearly understood by the first line of defense, transparently reported through governance and managed within the defined risk appetite and risk management framework. Reporting Line: We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President in Technology Risk Management (TRM). TRM is a part of 2nd Line Risk & Compliance, focused on oversight and challenge of Technology functions at BNY. TRM Central's role is to ensure and assist the wider TRM function in meeting the Regulatory and policy obligations. This role is located in Wroclaw (Poland) and reports directly to the Director, Technology Risk Management. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Driving the 2nd Line engagement in the Technology Issue Management process, to ensure risks are adequately identified and assessed, and managed within the risk appetite. You will have the opportunity to get involved in various Technology Risk processes such as Cyber Recovery, etc. Continuously improving risk assessment processes, including automating solutions, building efficiencies, and maintaining consistency across deliveries. Collaborating with the team on different types of risk management activities (e.g., risk assessments and metrics oversight). Preparing executive level reports to influence the risk aware decision making and risk reduction. Strong communication skills to articulate risk related topics clearly across stakeholders. Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward in a collaborative manner. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 8+ years of work experience required, financial services industry experience is a plus. Prior work experience supporting a large, regulated institution, preferably financial services would be a plus. Experience in Risk Management is preferred. The candidate must have strong communication skills and demonstrate a record of accomplishment and excellence in delivery. Knowledge of SQL and Tableau / Power BI, JIRA, Service Now, SharePoint, Confluence and/or Advanced PowerPoint skills is a plus. Bachelor ‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Attention to detail is a must. Effective senior stakeholder management skills evidenced by relevant experience, along with excellent presentation skills.
