EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years of healthcare administration experience in a large and complex setting with direct responsibility for cost/revenue centers, designing and implementing business plans and managing staff.
  • 5 years of experience leading complex strategic initiatives, which impact multiple service lines and levels of leadership.
  • 5 years of progressive responsibility in progressively responsible management position.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business

  • Expert facilitation and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to anticipate internal and external customer needs and meet expectations.
  • Ability to effectively work with physicians, staff and professionals in multiple settings and locations.
  • Well-developed planning, marketing, organizational development and business skills.
  • Understanding of information systems capabilities and an appreciation for the data required to make meaningful management decisions.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Provides strategic direction for the continued implementation and growth of transplant service line
  • Initiates community outreach to drive volume and growth of service line
  • Communicates the department’s needs, requirements, available service and other information to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate personal and professional growth and expertise by remaining current with local and national associations, professional trends, best practices and community activities
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities in accordance with LCMC Health policies and procedures
  • Oversees supervision of department including hiring, terminations, onboarding and education as needed.
  • Develop, review and revise departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Establish benchmarks to determine success and ensure success
  • Identifies risks, hazards, and mitigation efforts of unsafe practices
  • Coordinates departmental performance improvement process including the preparation, analysis and submission of required reports
  • Ensures compliance with all standards for safety, risk management and infection control as required by enforcement agencies
  • Serves as primary contact for regulatory agencies
  • Responds effectively to unplanned circumstances, demands and challenges facing the department
