POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice Principal works closely with the Principal to provide spiritual and administrative leadership that aligns with the mission of the school. This includes supporting staff development, student well-being, curriculum implementation, and school operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A committed Christian, actively involved in a local church.
  • A graduate degree in administration, current enrollment in a graduate program, or relevant administrative experience.
  • Valid provincial teaching license; if from Quebec, a permanent teaching license issued by the Ministère de l’Education du Québec (MEQ).
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with demonstrated leadership in a school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of current pedagogical practices, including student-centered learning, assessment for learning, and inclusive education.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (French and English).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

  • Chrétien(ne) engagé(e), impliqué(e) activement dans une église locale.
  • Diplôme de 2e cycle en administration, ou inscription actuelle à un tel programme, ou expérience pertinente en administration scolaire.
  • Permis d’enseignement valide émis par une province canadienne; au Québec, un brevet d’enseignement permanent délivré par le ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ).
  • Minimum de cinq ans d’expérience en enseignement, avec preuve de leadership en milieu scolaire.
  • Excellente connaissance des pratiques pédagogiques actuelles, incluant l’apprentissage centré sur l’élève, l’évaluation pour l’apprentissage et l’éducation inclusive.
  • Solides compétences interpersonnelles, organisationnelles et en communication.
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) requis.

Responsibilities
  • Support and promote the Christian vision and values of the school in all aspects of leadership.
  • Assist with the supervision and evaluation of teaching staff.
  • Provide leadership in curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Establish and implement a consistent approach for discipline.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and the Board on strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent communication/engagement.
