Geographically located in south-central British Columbia, School District 22 serves the communities of Vernon, Coldstream, Lavington, Lumby, and Cherryville, providing exceptional educational services to a diverse group of students. The district is located on the unceded, ancestral territory of the Syilx Nation. We welcome a growing newcomer population and host approximately 250 international students annually.
We offer a wide variety of educational programs including but not limited to French Immersion, Distributed Learning Courses, opportunities for Trades Training and Secondary Apprenticeships, and school and district-based alternative programs, as well as numerous sports and specialty Academies. The district employs 1,220 staff and operates on a budget of $140 million. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in education
• Master’s degree in education
• Valid BC teaching certificate or eligibility for certification with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
• Minimum of five years of recent exemplary teaching experience in public education
• Experience leading programs and initiatives at the school and/or the district level
• Experience in ensuring inclusive learning environments
• Experience incorporating Indigenous education within inclusive learning environments
• Experience teaching in a unionized public-school setting using the BC curriculum

• Vice Principal Elementary - $ 130,540 to $137,931
• Vice Principal Middle - $134,235 to $141,624
• Vice Principal Secondary - $137,931 to 145,318
