The Victory programme is based on the Dig Victory campaign of the Second World War where individuals were encouraged to cook nutritious meals and learn to budget and develop life skills. The role of the Victory Programme Co-ordinator is to work with the Corps Officer and service users in delivering the Programme face to face and in an online environment. The programme supports individuals by empowering them to make positive changes in life.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver teaching material for The Victory Programme in a fun and engaging manner to on-site participants.
  • Source ingredients for each session. Demonstrate the cooking process, to teach the purposes of cooking equipment and to demystify the cooking terms
  • Promote the cooking and budgeting sessions as a key life skill and encourage participants to engage working through their personal challenges in a positive and inclusive manner
  • Liaise with the external agencies to foster contact with new participants, facilitate other trainers/agencies to support the delivery of related elements of the programme as appropriate and to actively distribute marketing materials including posters and fliers
  • To recruit participants for the programme to fill each teaching session.
