Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into polished, engaging video content that aligns with project goals and brand standards. This role requires a strong sense of storytelling, technical proficiency, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working Pacific Standard Time hours is required. Key Responsibilities: Edit and assemble raw footage into compelling, high-quality video content tailored for various platforms, including social media, websites, marketing campaigns, and internal communications Review all footage and select the best takes, ensuring continuity, pacing, and narrative flow Collaborate closely with producers, directors, designers, and marketing teams to understand creative direction, messaging, and target audience Apply advanced editing techniques including multi-camera editing, motion graphics integration, and visual effects when needed Enhance video quality through color correction, color grading, and visual adjustments to ensure a consistent and professional look Incorporate graphics, titles, captions, animations, and branding elements in alignment with company guidelines Sync and mix audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, ensuring clarity and balance Optimize videos for different platforms by adjusting formats, aspect ratios, resolutions, and compression settings Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities Maintain and organize video libraries, project files, and assets for easy access and future use Review edits internally and implement feedback quickly and effectively while maintaining creative integrity Troubleshoot technical issues related to editing software, media files, and export settings Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new editing techniques to continuously improve output quality Required Qualifications: At least 3 years in a Video Editor role Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and production workflows Excellent attention to detail and storytelling ability Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with motion graphics and animation Basic knowledge of audio editing and sound design Familiarity with social media video trends and formats Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
