We create high-performing ads for DTC brands, and we also produce a steady stream of short-form content for our founders and agency brand. We’re looking for a Creative Performance Video Editor who can take raw footage, b-roll, UGC, talking-head clips, voiceovers, and creative assets — and turn them into engaging, scroll-stopping videos for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and social platforms. This role combines strong editing abilities with an understanding of direct response, retention, pacing, storytelling, and creative iteration. If you’re the type of editor who understands both creative instinct and performance data, and can move quickly while still producing clean, polished work — you’re a great fit. What You’ll DoShort-Form Content Editing Edit clips for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and social content Cut talking-head videos into clean, engaging short-form pieces Add captions, punch-ins, pacing adjustments, timing, emphasis Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short, high-retention clips Make videos feel dynamic, modern, and native to the platform DTC Performance Ad Editing Edit paid social ads using UGC footage, b-roll, product shots Add captions, motion text, hooks, pattern interrupts, sound cues Use AI voices (ElevenLabs) to generate ad variations Build variations for testing: new hooks, new intros, new pacing Iterate based on performance data and creative feedback Creative Strategy & Collaboration Identify strong moments, hooks, and storylines within raw footage Recommend new creative angles or structures Stay ahead of platform trends and edit styles Pull inspiration from winning ads and top creators Work closely with strategists, media buyers, and creative directors You’re a Great Fit If… You have 2–5+ years of video editing experience You’re fluent in short-form social editing (TikTok style, fast pacing, modern cuts) You understand what makes content hold attention You’ve edited ads or brand content for DTC, creators, or agencies You like moving fast and iterating based on feedback You understand hooks, retention, CTR, thumbstop, structure You’re comfortable using: Adobe Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci CapCut (bonus) ElevenLabs or AI voice tools You can bring creative ideas, not just execute edits You communicate clearly and work well in an async environment Nice to Have Experience editing direct-response ads Understanding of Meta/TikTok ad performance metrics Motion graphics / typography skills Experience editing founder or expert-style content (podcasts, social clips, reels) Experience inside a marketing agenc Why Sweat Pants Agency? - Join a team that is behind two INC #1 fastest-growing brands. - Enjoy a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Be part of a remote-based team with top marketers from around the world.
