gener8tor’s turnkey platform for the creative economy connects startups, entrepreneurs, artists, investors, universities and corporations. The gener8tor platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships focused on entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, startups and job seekers.
gener8tor is seeking a Video Editor to join our rapidly growing team. This person will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and marketing goals. The Video Editor will collaborate with the Director of Design and Marketing team to deliver engaging video content for our website, social media, marketing campaigns, events, and other communication platforms. We are looking for someone who brings creativity, storytelling, and technical expertise to elevate our video strategy.
This person will report to the VP of Business Development and work closely with the Director of Design and Marketing. They will also collaborate with product line leaders to support our various accelerator programs and sometimes our startups. The Video Editor will contribute to the overall creative strategy and ensure the timely execution of video projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient English – Level C1–C2.
  • 2+ years of experience in video editing and production.
  • Portfolio of video projects used in successful campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other editing tools.
  • Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or graphic overlays (a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, media, design, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience with photography or audio production (a plus).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter.
  • Commitment to equity across race, place, and gender.
  • A “no job is beneath me” mentality.
Responsibilities
  • Edit and produce high-quality video content for marketing, advertising, events, and digital campaigns.
  • Create promotional videos, interviews, event recaps, and social media clips that highlight gener8tor’s programs and partners.
  • Ensure all videos adhere to gener8tor’s brand guidelines and storytelling standards.
  • Collaborate with the Design and Marketing teams to plan and execute video projects.
  • Manage post-production tasks including sound, color correction, and graphics integration.
  • Stay updated on video trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve content.
  • Organize and maintain video assets for easy access and repurposing.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
