Job Description Peacock Creative Marketing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Video Editor to join our team. This role is ideal for a dynamic storyteller with a passion for entertainment marketing and an expert editorial eye for crafting best-in-class trailers, promos, and creative content across streaming/DTC, broadcast, digital, and social platforms. You’ll help shape Peacock’s Creative Marketing campaigns by editing promos, trailers, featurettes, and special projects, crafting IP-forward creative for Scripted titles like Twisted Metal, Poker Face and The Jackal. Collaborating closely with Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, writers, and producers, the Video Editor will blend deep technical expertise with a refined editorial sensibility to deliver best-in-class creative campaigns that captivate and inspire. This role will be based in New York City. Responsibilities: Edit and craft high-profile trailers, promos, sizzles, and high-concept AV and social content for Peacock P1 Films and Original Series campaigns Partner with creative leads to guide editorial vision on major campaigns, interpreting creative briefs and elevating story, tone, and pacing to deliver premium entertainment marketing. Collaborate closely with Senior Editors, Creative Directors, writers, designers, and producers to develop inventive editorial approaches that align with strategic and campaign goals. Oversee and approve the finishing process end-to-end, including color correction, sound design, graphics integration, and delivery—ensuring flawless final outputs. Translate raw footage into compelling narratives, strategically using music, VO, dialogue, and graphics to enhance emotional impact. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and resources while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and craft. Troubleshoot technical issues proactively, ensuring smooth post-production workflows and minimizing delays. Work closely with the design team to streamline motion graphics workflows, including managing MOGRTs, collaborating with designers, and integrating graphics seamlessly into edits. Optimize edits for specific media placements, including platform-specific requirements, adapting creative for broadcast, digital, and social—including aspect ratios, runtimes, specs, and compression needs. Ensure all deliverables meet Peacock’s technical standards, checking frame rates, codecs, color space, audio levels, and export settings with expert precision. Participate in brainstorming and creative development sessions, contributing editorial ideas that push storytelling forward. QC all versions and cutdowns to maintain continuity, technical integrity, and brand consistency across every output. Stay current with editorial trends, tools, and techniques, bringing fresh ideas and innovations to elevate the quality and efficiency of the team’s work. Be willing to participate in cross-functional initiatives and special assignments, collaborating with brand, production, design, and strategy teams to bring big ideas to life. Qualifications Basic Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience as a creative editor, overseeing finishing and post-production delivery at a creative agency, post house, or within a streaming, DTC, or theatrical in-house team. Expert in Adobe Premiere and post-production workflows, including finishing and delivery; working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Avid is a plus. Deep understanding of digital video formats and technical specs (frame rates, codecs, resolutions); skilled in troubleshooting, color grading, and final delivery. Familiar with motion graphics workflows, formats, and MOGRTs. Ability to craft social-forward assets that combine eye-catching editorial, motion graphics and innovative techniques that work for paid and organic social placements Ability to cut to music and sound design with precision, ensuring emotional impact and dynamic pacing including music integration, music builds and effects layering. Knowledge of cross-platform video best practices, including optimization and delivery specs for broadcast, digital, and social. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate on projects (including cutdowns and secondary AV assets), always delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
