Description
About The Company At The ePlane Company, we are engineering India’s first compact electric air taxi, the e200x. We are transitioning from sub-scale designs to building certifiable commercial aircraft inside our new 60,000 sq. ft. engineering and prototyping facility. We are doing work that has never been done in this country before. But engineering history is only half the battle; the other half is documenting it. We do not want standard corporate videos. We do not want talking heads in brightly lit boardrooms. We want cinema. We want to capture the raw tension of a ground spin-up test, the meticulous art of carbon fiber layup, and the grit of the iron-willed people making it happen. We are looking for a masterful, End-to-End Video Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor with exceptional taste, a beautiful portfolio, and the technical talent to own our visual narrative from the first storyboard to the final color grade. The Role You are a one-person studio and a visual architect. You will be responsible for translating our deep-tech milestones, engineering breakthroughs, and human stories into breathtaking visual content. You will work directly with the leadership and communications team to architect our multi-phase cinematic rollouts. 1. Creative Direction & Pre-Production Translate complex engineering milestones into compelling, human-centric visual narratives. Develop treatments, storyboards, and shot lists for everything from high-stakes hero videos (e.g., aircraft reveals) to short-form, high-impact social documentaries. Scout locations within our prototyping facility, plan lighting setups, and orchestrate shoots with zero disruption to the engineering teams. 2. Cinematography & Production Act as the primary Director of Photography. You know how to light a dark hangar, how to frame a pristine piece of hardware, and how to make deep-tech look beautiful and grounded. Operate cinema-line cameras, gimbals, and audio equipment with precision. Direct talent (our engineers, founders, and partners) to capture authentic, documentary-style moments—rejecting the "smiling corporate" cliché. 3. Post-Production & Finishing Own the edit. You understand pacing, rhythm, and how to cut to music and ambient sound design to build tension and release. Execute high-end color grading to maintain the premium, modern, and slightly cinematic "ePlane aesthetic." Master audio mixing and sound design (e.g., isolating the mechanical heartbeat of a motor or the quiet hum of a server room). Deliver optimized assets across all formats (YouTube 4K, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, Investor decks). The Ideal Candidate The Portfolio: This is the absolute prerequisite. We are looking for a reel that demonstrates exquisite composition, a deep understanding of lighting, and emotional editing. If your portfolio doesn't make us feel something, this isn't the role for you. The Trinity: You are equally obsessed with producing, shooting, and editing. You don't need to hand off your footage to an editor to make it look good. Technical Mastery: Fluent in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects) and/or DaVinci Resolve. Expert knowledge of modern cinema cameras (Sony FX line, RED, Blackmagic, etc.), advanced lighting techniques, and field audio. The Eye: You have a minimalist, classy, and highly intentional aesthetic. You know when to use a sweeping drone shot and when to use a locked-off, unblinking close-up. Agility: You can operate in a high-stakes, fast-paced hardware prototyping environment. You are a problem solver who can turn constraints into creative advantages. Experience 2-3 Years of end to end video production Bonus Points Experience working in deep-tech, aerospace, automotive, or industrial design environments. Proficiency in advanced motion graphics, 3D tracking, or integrating UI/UX elements into live-action footage. Part 107 / Drone piloting experience for aerial cinematography. Why The ePlane Company? You will be given the creative freedom to define the visual identity of a category-defining aerospace company. You will have unparalleled access to cutting-edge technology and a team of brilliant minds. This is an opportunity to build a body of work that will be watched globally as we redefine the future of urban mobility.
