Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Information is seeking a versatile Video Editor with graphic design skills to help create clips, graphics, and more for a daily tech news show. This is a remote or in office contract role with working hours from 1–9 PM ET, aligned with our show schedule and post-production needs. You’ll take the lead on editing the show into compelling social clips. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the show’s visual identity, creating graphics, and defining the show’s visual language. Working closely with the Design Director and marketing team, you’ll be a key partner in building our show’s design and social media impact.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Turn shows into sharp, bite-sized content with social-native graphics and b-roll optimized for social media and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with the Design Director on developing new motion graphic elements for the show.
  • Edit down the full length show into individual interview segments.
  • Design image thumbnails based on templates for each show and edited down interviews that grab the attention of our audience.
  • Occasional requests to create promotional elements such as guest promos.
  • Weekly social media “wrap” videos showing highlights from the week.
  • Occasional requests for segment intros/bumpers motion graphics.
