POSITION SUMMARY

The Video Engineer (V1) sets up and supports video production for live events in the Stephen A.
Schwarzman Auditorium, in addition to various locations throughout The Frick Collection. The V1 will be running video for live concerts, lectures & panel discussions, and controlling the PTZ cameras during events.
Provide technical and production support for public programming throughout the institution
Run visual content for concerts, programs, and occasional livestreams
Be responsible for video recordings of each event when required, and back up sessions to content management platform.
Other duties as assigned, occasionally breaking-down/setting up portable PA system.
Requirements:

skill, and ability required to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.

  • Required minimum of 5 years video engineering experience and live event production support
  • Excellent knowledge of digital and analog signal flow
  • Excellent knowledge of various visual file types, both images and video
  • Working knowledge of BlackMagic Design ecosystem including ATEM/Hyperdeck/VideoHub
  • Working knowledge of PTZ cameras and controllers
  • Working knowledge of video streaming applications including OBS and YouTube Studio
  • Positive, professional, flexible, and ability to interact professionalism and respect with colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Excellent attention to detail and troubleshooting skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements are comparable to most video engineer roles Ability to interact in-person with colleagues, vendors, and visitors. Use common office tools and machines (computer, phone).
Ability to traverse throughout the office, building(s) and gardens both in and out-of-doors and visit different levels of the building. Ability transport and operate audio/video equipment of up to at least 50 pounds.
