UPMC is seeking an experienced multimedia producer/video journalist to join the Public Relations department, producing video stories for Internal Communications and Media Relations. The ideal candidate will be not only an accomplished producer who has created videos for broadcast, online and mobile platforms, but also an individual who, through example, persuasion, and coordination of multiple stakeholders, will develop and deliver powerful media to educate and increase awareness among external audiences and internal staff. Responsibilities: Coordinate and implement start-to-finish creative process for videos, performing all production roles: Create storyboards for review with appropriate team, Coordinate shoots in-studio and on-location, Write and develop scripts, Shoot video using appropriate camera, Determine and oversee proper lighting and arrange for studio sessions if necessary, Ensure proper monitoring of audio during interviews, Book and direct voice talent as needed, Work with Marketing Communications staff to obtain archival footage when necessary to supplement stories, Edit videos using professional editing software, Manipulate and develop graphic animations to fit visual story as needed, Deliver final video via agreed upon platform, Provide support to teams to ensure maximum distribution internally and externally. Operate in high-pressure situations and manage multiple projects while continuing to complete projects on time with a fast turnaround. Work closely with Media Relations and Internal Communications staff to support story development and conceptualize video content. Develop, maintain, effectively communicate, and direct production schedule. Maintain and effectively communicate production schedule with manager. Mentor and train staff in best video production practices to further enhance UPMC media creation capacity Under Manager's supervision, create and develop videos to enhance overall awareness of UPMC stories, boost online presence, and promote positive communications outcomes. Participate in regular meetings with Media Relations and Internal Communications teams to assess video production needs, propose and coordinate story ideas, discuss status and direct production schedules. Bachelor's degree and three years of multimedia video production, visual storytelling, written communications and public relations experience OR seven years of multimedia video production, visual storytelling, written communications and public relations experience. Strong video production skills required, including videography, interviewing, creative writing, script development, audio quality and editing. Proficiency using professional editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar. Experience working within the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects and Audition is preferred. Experience capturing and color correcting professional video content in LOG formats preferred. Knowledge and experience around still photography, capturing and editing images in RAW formats. Experience with web technologies for effective use and distribution of videos required. Knowledge of storyboarding, and cultivated eye for layout, style, color selection, motion graphics, audio, music, etc. Ability to work tight deadlines and balance multiple tasks. Health care knowledge preferred. Web development skills and knowledge preferred. Executive communication and presentation skills preferred. Must have strong interpersonal and computer skills.
