Description

American Baitworks is seeking a talented and creative Video Producer to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, producing, and delivering high-quality video content that brings our brand stories, products, and campaigns to life. From concept to final delivery, the Video Producer will play a hands-on role in every stage of production, helping us engage audiences, elevate our brand presence, and drive measurable impact across multiple platforms.
The role involves approximately 50% travel throughout the Southeast, with a combination of short day trips and occasional overnight stays. This position also requires filming on boats in open water. Candidates should be comfortable working in outdoor environments and handling production equipment on moving vessels.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Skilled in storyboarding, shot planning, and pre-production organization.
  • Solid understanding of lighting, audio, and composition.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Photography, drone operation, motion graphics/animation a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film/Video Production, Multimedia, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional videography/video production experience with a strong portfolio of story-driven video products
  • Experience in the outdoor industry a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and kneel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to film on a boat in the open water.

  • Schedule and coordinate shoots, securing locations, talent, and equipment.
  • Lead and execute both on-location and studio shoots, managing all logistics.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and drones during production.
  • Direct talent and ensure an efficient, professional filming process.
  • Edit and deliver polished video content including short-form social media clips, long-form brand stories, product features, and event recaps.
  • Add graphics, sound, branding elements while formatting content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and digital ads.
  • Stay on top of video and storytelling trends to keep content engaging and relevant.
  • Track and analyze video performance, recommending improvements for future projects.
  • Maintain and organize a video content library for cross-brand use.
