Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Video Teleconferencing Engineer to join a Federal Program in Albuquerque, NM. The VTC Engineer will be responsible for researching, evaluating, designing, deploying, and promoting new Collaboration platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE VIDEO TELECONFERENCING ENGINEER INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in IT systems, network engineering, or related fields
  • Proficient in network engineering, video teleconferencing services, end-user support, and advanced troubleshooting
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Skilled in virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of database management systems such as SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and organizational abilities
  • Skilled in analytical thinking and effective problem-solving
  • Must have an active Top Secret (TS) or DOE Q clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical guidance in the oversight and operation of information systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable Video Teleconferencing (VTC) network systems to support enterprise-wide communication needs.
  • Deliver comprehensive support for NNSA’s enterprise VTC requirements across all in-scope networks, ensuring seamless video conferencing capabilities for end-users.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Video Conferencing Services, including planning, assessment, implementation, training, and ongoing operational support.
  • Monitor and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues within technical control facilities, coordinating with vendor support teams to ensure timely escalation and resolution during outages or performance degradation.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot intricate system and network performance issues.
  • Execute a broad range of systems engineering tasks related to the design, integration, and implementation of major systems, encompassing personnel, hardware, software, budget, and support infrastructure.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and enhance network systems to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Provide dedicated VTC support to the John A. Gordon Albuquerque Complex, Nevada Site Office, Sandia Site Office, and other designated field offices as directed by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
