Description

Our Vision is to cure childhood cancer, one cup at a time.
Your Vision is to use your critical-thinking skills and remarkable talents to make a difference in the world.
Join Team Alex and let’s work together to give kids fighting cancer the childhood and future they deserve!
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement and the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in funding pediatric cancer research projects across the globe, raising more than $300 million so far, funding over 1,500 research projects, and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer. DESCRIPTION

The Videographer Coordinator will work closely with a video production colleague and key stakeholders to shoot and edit mission-driven video content for YouTube, social media, and other platforms – including, but not limited to, interviews, event coverage, explainers, and promotional videos. They will film interviews, conducting them solo or in coordination with a team member.
This role is suited for a skilled video professional with a solid foundation in the full production process, including pre-production, production, and postproduction. The videographer will handle tasks such as scheduling, identifying equipment needs, and managing on-location logistics — and should be comfortable executing shoots both independently and collaboratively.
They will transport, set up, and operate equipment both on location and in the office, and contribute to organizing and maintaining an archival system for efficient retrieval of video assets.
This position reports to the Bala Cynwyd, PA office and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in office, and two days remote each week. Occasional travel is required; therefore, it is highly preferred if the candidate has use of a personal car and valid driver’s license.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS (REQUIRED & PREFERRED)

  • 3–5 years of professional video production experience, including extensive on-location work across a variety of formats such as events, documentary-style storytelling, and interviews.
  • Proven ability to independently plan and execute professional video shoots — from logistics and setup to working effectively with a range of subjects and environments.
  • Proficiency with professional video equipment, including mirrorless or DSLR cameras, tripods, gimbals, and other camera support tools.
  • Deep understanding of audio recording principles and techniques, including microphone placement, gain structure, and troubleshooting on-location audio issues.
  • Solid understanding of lighting techniques for interviews and on-location shoots.
  • Skilled in preparing for and conducting on-camera interviews, with the ability to guide interviewees comfortably through on-camera conversations, adjusting in real time as needed.
  • Can represent ALSF with professionalism and sensitivity when interviewing and filming prominent researchers, corporate leaders, and families affected by childhood cancer.
  • Expertise in video editing using Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro), including integrating b-roll, interviews, titles, and motion graphics.
  • Experience creating video content tailored for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Skilled at supporting a YouTube channel and understanding of optimization best practices.
  • Experience producing video ads for social media, YouTube, or other paid advertising channels (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to relate at all levels across the organization; experience collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Creative mindset combined with strong attention to detail and deadline orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Good sense of humor and enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
The successful candidate will thrive in ALSF’s fast-paced, unique environment and will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to our mission of changing the lives of children with cancer and their families. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
