About the role: We are looking for someone to join our creative team to edit and help film footage for both marketing and short films. The majority of this role will be editing supplied footage by the internal team. You will be working closely with the CMO, Creative Director, and internal studio to edit footage for socials, product launches, short films, and BTS. This role is all about storytelling, and the right person will come with a list of their favorite films. What you'll do: Concept, storyboard, produce, and edit video content for marketing and internal studio Edit and produce high-quality video content for marketing and short films for multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and engagement objectives Work with the internal studio to edit shorts for socials, a short film, and BTS footage for the short film launch Assist marketing team to put together small shoots on-site Travel for shoots both out of state and internationally to cover organizational events to ensure footage can be cut for multiple formats and story is compelling Provide feedback to strengthen storytelling Source and clear licensed footage, music, and assets, ensuring compliance with rights and usage requirements Turn announcements, launches, and cultural moments into engaging, video-first storytelling Collaborate with marketing, motion design, studio, and creative teams across projects Use performance insights to refine storytelling and improve future content Adjust content format as needed for all social platforms Assist CMO in developing storyboards that align with social media strategies for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Discord, LinkedIn, and Reddit Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in video production, editing, or digital storytelling 1+ year of experience with short form video content creation preferred Strong portfolio showcasing work across social, product, and storytelling Ability to conduct on-camera interviews and set up microphone recording Expert in Davinci Resolve Studio Basic color correction and grading Basic vocal and audio editing Comfortable working with licensed content, rights management, and approval workflows You care about storytelling that connects emotionally and leaves a lasting impression You manage multiple projects and stakeholders with clarity and organization Strong understanding of GPUs and 3D graphics Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) Ability to collaborate effectively with technical professionals, leadership, and business development teams Self-starter who is proactive and task-oriented Preferred Qualifications: Startup experience Experience editing a feature or short film Remote/Hybrid: travel required for major events, preference is for a candidate in California We currently do not offer sponsorship or relocation for this role. Compensation Range: $125,000 per year (California). This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role based on California standards; the final offer may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.
