THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Freelance Videographer to join us on a project basis.
We hire for foundation and attitude. If you understand basics like composition, exposure, and depth of field, and you love shooting video or photo with a few hobby pieces to share, we’ll help you level up quickly.
You’ll typically work alongside our Producer and Cinematographer in a supporting role, taking direction and also handling independent pickup shots when needed.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate with our Cinematographer and Producer to understand each project’s story and visual goals
  • Operate cameras to capture clean, usable footage that serves the edit
  • Use gimbals and stabilization tools to achieve smooth, purposeful shots
  • Gather a thoughtful shot mix (wides, mediums, details) to support storytelling
  • Represent the business on set with kindness, professionalism, and teamwork
  • Offer creative ideas and problem-solve on location
  • Care for, organize, and maintain gear before, during, and after shoots

NATURE OF THE ENGAGEMENT (CONTRACTOR ROLE)

  • Independent Contractor: You are self-employed and responsible for your own taxes/insurance. You’ll receive a 1099 following the end of the year.
  • Flexibility: Accept projects that fit your schedule; as long as you meet agreed deadlines and on-set call times
  • Project-Based: Engagements vary by project scope and timeline
