POSITION SUMMARY

The Videographer is responsible for video recording teachers’ instructional practices. In addition, the position is
responsible for editing as a part of the post-production team that prepares district video productions for a wide
variety of school related functions, transporting all related equipment to school and classrooms for video
production, and safekeeping of all camera related equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or 4 years equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in video recording and working in schools with teachers and students.
  • Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee
    (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • 8+ years progressive experience in video recording and working in schools with teachers and students.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and

diplomacy.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with District employees and the public, using diplomacy

and principles of good customer service.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently utilizing effective time management skills.
  • Ability to operate, set up, and provide moderately complex troubleshooting for video, audio, lighting, or

other production equipment.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Produce high-quality video content for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and internal
    communications.
  2. Operate cameras, drones, lighting, and audio equipment for field and studio shoots.
  3. Edit video footage, incorporating graphics, music, and effects using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or
    similar tools.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing/communications team to develop compelling visual storytelling strategies.
  5. Set up and operate A/V equipment for meetings, presentations, school or district events, and livestreams.
  6. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including cameras, microphones, projectors, and streaming
    devices.
  7. Provide technical support during live productions and ensure seamless execution.
  8. Provide photo/video coverage of school or district events, including performances, ceremonies, and
    community engagements.
  9. Organize and archive media assets for future use.
  10. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure coverage needs are met.
  11. Stay current with trends in digital video and A/V technology.
  12. Manage the district’s video library and photo library archive (YouTube, Vimeo, network drives, etc.)
  13. Record and support district board meetings, workshops and sessions.
  14. Photography as needed.
  15. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities
    expected for this position.
