Description
About BJAK We build superior application platforms globally with the mission of creating successful businesses while contributing positively to society by making it more efficient. We developed the first and leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia to digitize the insurance industry. The platform currently serves over 8 million users across the region. We are continuing our mission by building new, superior applications in emerging use cases as applications become increasingly integrated with AI. Our team is densely talented, highly motivated, and focused on engineering and product excellence within a very flat organization. All members are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. About the Role We are looking for a Videographer who is passionate about visual storytelling and creating engaging, high-quality content. In this role, you will work closely with the Creative and Marketing teams to produce video materials that elevate BJAK’s brand and drive audience engagement across platforms. This position is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in videography and editing, strong creative instincts, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Creative Direction & Production Assist in developing creative concepts and visual approaches for BJAK’s video content. Plan, storyboard, and execute video shoots for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu (XHS). Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage. Produce content ranging from corporate storytelling to fast-turnaround social media videos. 2. Post-Production Edit videos with strong attention to pacing, storytelling, and visual quality. Perform color grading, sound design, basic motion graphics, and subtitling. Ensure consistency and alignment with BJAK’s brand identity across all content. Manage multiple editing timelines while ensuring on-time delivery. 3. Collaboration Work closely with Creative, Marketing, and Social Media teams to bring ideas to life. Incorporate feedback quickly and effectively. Collaborate with designers and copywriters to produce cohesive content. (Optional) Support or guide interns/junior editors when needed — not a leadership role, but collaborative. 4. Production & Workflow Management Handle the full production process, including media management, equipment setup, and exporting. Maintain organized archives of raw footage, edited files, and project assets. Troubleshoot technical or equipment issues during shoots or editing. 5. Innovation & Trend Awareness Stay updated on video trends, social media formats, and best practices. Experiment with new techniques and styles to improve engagement. Suggest improvements to workflows for faster and smoother production. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or related fields. 1–3 years of experience in videography and video editing (agency or in-house). Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing a variety of video styles and storytelling approaches. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition). Skilled in camera operations, lighting techniques, and audio recording. Strong understanding of social media platforms, video algorithms, and content optimization. Excellent attention to detail, visual composition, and pacing. Ability to handle multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience working with small production teams or freelancers is a plus (not required). Why Join BJAK Above-market remuneration. Regional exposure and fast career development. Meaningful, mission-driven work impacting millions of users. Collaborative and inclusive team culture. Flat structure — ideas matter more than titles. High autonomy and real responsibility from day one. Location Requirement Based in the UK Compensations Range £45,000 – £60,000 base salary per annum Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
