2. PRODUCTION (VIDEOGRAPHY):

  • Filming: Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio gear to capture high-quality footage during shoots.
  • Directing: Direct talent, crew, or subjects to achieve the desired look and feel of the video.
  • On-Site Problem Solving: Adapt to challenges during shoots, such as weather conditions, technical issues, or unexpected changes in the environment.
  • B-Roll & Cutaways: Capture supplementary footage (B-roll) to enhance storytelling and provide flexibility during editing.

QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Relevant certifications in videography, video editing, or content creation are a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in videography, video editing, or content creation (depending on the level of the position).
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of work, including examples of scripted content, documentaries, promotional videos, or social media clips.
  • Experience working with brands, agencies, or in-house marketing teams is highly desirable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Videography:
  • Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and lenses.
  • Knowledge of lighting setups, green screens, and audio recording techniques.
  • Video Editing:
  • Expertise in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Familiarity with After Effects or similar tools for motion graphics and animations.
  • Understanding of color grading tools like Lumetri Color or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Audio Editing:
  • Basic knowledge of audio editing software (Audition, Pro Tools, etc.).
  • Ability to mix and balance audio tracks, remove noise, and add sound effects.
  • Content Management:
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, YouTube Studio, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for video content.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Creativity: Strong artistic vision and the ability to think outside the box when crafting visual narratives.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and explaining creative ideas.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. PRE-PRODUCTION:

  • Concept Development: Collaborate with clients, marketing teams, or stakeholders to understand project goals and develop creative concepts for video content.
  • Scriptwriting & Storyboarding: Write scripts, create storyboards, and plan shot lists to ensure a clear vision for the final product.
  • Location Scouting & Planning: Identify and scout filming locations, secure permits, and coordinate logistics for shoots.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Create production schedules, allocate resources, and manage budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.

5. GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all cameras, microphones, lighting rigs, and other equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Archiving: Organize and archive footage, project files, and assets for future reference.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing teams, designers, copywriters, and other creatives to align video content with broader campaigns.
  • Reporting: Track video performance metrics (views, engagement, conversions) and provide insights to stakeholders.
