For EPC projects executed by E&C, the Construction Team is responsible for the site opening, construction activities and management of all erection contractors mobilized on site. Construction Team involvement is required during all phases of the project starting with the Engineering and Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction and Commissioning activities until plant hand-over to the affiliate. - Play a key role within the E&C Europe site activities team to build the CO2 capture unit in Rozenburg - Proposed VIE is to fulfill the position of Site Material Manager in Rozenburg to supervise the material management during the construction and commissioning activities of a project of CO2 capture unit to be built in Rozenburg, the Netherlands. - Being part of the Construction team the Material Manager shall provide support to the site team to perform the following tasks with the target to handle part of the below activities autonomously during the course of the VIE - Developing the material management strategy together with the responsible Construction Manager and Project Manager; - Developing the preservation and loose items storage strategy together with the construction contractors to ensure project specific material preservation requirements; - Coordinates with procurement, expediting and shipping department for incoming and outgoing material at site - Managing the Storage (site warehouses and lay-down-areas) by using material management systems and correct storage code - Issuing and receiving material to and from subcontractors. - Distributing and following up the material specification documentation and making sure that all material received has the respective certificates. - Coordinating with Construction Manager, field supervisors and subcontractor(s) for material handling in accordance with the requirements and according to erection schedule - Identifies, reports upon, traces and handles surplus, shortage, missing and damaged material - Is responsible for the disposal of scrap material - Monitors the material handling performance with emphasis on safety, quantity, quality, schedule and budget - Ensures that the day-to day work of his team and of the sub-contractor(s) is in compliance with the respective procedures, standards and specifications Why Join Us?
