At Viet Wellbeing Disability Services, we proudly support individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, especially the Vietnamese community by delivering compassionate, person-centred supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We believe in the power of culturally appropriate support to help individuals live independently, with dignity and purpose.
We are seeking a Vietnamese-speaking NDIS Support Coordinator to work closely with participants and their families to implement and manage their NDIS plans.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in disability services, health sector, case management, or NDIS support coordination.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS framework and how to apply it in culturally respectful ways.
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Two recent referee checks
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Work rights in Australia
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
    Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This role is key in helping participants understand their supports, make informed choices, and connect with suitable service providers, all while respecting cultural values and language needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build relationships with participants and their families to understand their needs, goals, and cultural preferences.
  • Support participants to navigate the NDIS, including understanding and implementing their plans.
  • Coordinate supports by linking participants with appropriate services, therapists, and community supports.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed, ensuring services remain relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including service providers, NDIS planners, and health professionals.
  • Manage documentation, including case notes, reports, and service agreements.
  • Provide crisis support and assist in resolving service-related challenges.
