The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a warm and friendly, Village Support Officer to join our dynamic team at Highvale, a retirement village nestled close to Glen Waverley’s scenic parklands and nearby shopping centres.
Highvale Retirement Village offers a mix of well-appointed villas and serviced apartments.
Our residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with service provided that give them and their families the reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.

Reporting the Senior Manor Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Assisting with our colourful village events
  • Assisting to with meal & beverage service
  • Setting up and cleaning up dining room for meal service and functions
  • Responding to resident enquiries
  • Responding to call outs
  • Undertaking first aid
  • Initiating emergency services where required
  • Basic admin tasks
  • Conducting welfare checks on residents
  • Other tasks around the village as directed

Shifts

  • Casual
  • Approx. 2+ shift per week
  • Starting 3:00pm – 9:00pm active shift, then sleepover at the village until 7am

About You

  • Availability for afternoon/sleepover and weekend shifts.
  • A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
  • Strong customer service skills, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
  • High motivation, with the ability to take initiative in stressful situations.
  • Experience working within Aged Care, Personal Care or Retirement communities – desirable.
