Job Description The VIM Consultant (SAP) is responsible for the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions supporting the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. This role ensures that system functionalities align with global P2P standards, business requirements, and compliance needs. The consultant collaborates closely with Product Owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders to deliver stable, efficient, and scalable invoice management solutions. The position is available for candidates based in Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, or Moldova Key Responsibilities: Configure and maintain SAP VIM components (invoice capture, workflow, exception handling, and integration with SAP FI/MM). Translate business and process requirements into functional and technical specifications within SAP VIM. Support implementation and rollout of VIM-related enhancements, upgrades, and integrations. Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements, define user stories, and validate acceptance criteria. Provide expert-level support in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance optimization. Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies, audit requirements, and internal controls. Create and maintain system documentation, configuration guides, and training materials. Participate in testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and ensure solution quality. Monitor system performance and propose continuous improvements or automation opportunities. Act as a subject-matter expert in cross-functional digital finance projects and SAP transformation initiatives. Qualifications Strong expertise in SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) configuration and operations. In-depth knowledge of SAP FI (Accounts Payable) and SAP MM (Procurement) integration points. Experience with OCR, document management systems, and workflow automation. Solid understanding of P2P process flows, invoice matching, and exception handling. Ability to translate business requirements into SAP functional designs. Good understanding of compliance, internal controls, and audit frameworks. Experience with Agile delivery methods and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with business and IT. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field English is mandatory (business fluent). Proficiency in Russian is considered a strong plus Success Metrics: Reliable and stable operation of SAP VIM with minimal incidents or downtime Timely and accurate delivery of VIM enhancements and releases Reduction in invoice processing time and exception rates Positive feedback from business users and stakeholders Compliance with audit and control requirements Effective documentation and knowledge sharing within the P2P team Collaboration: Works closely with Product Owners, P2P Process Owners, and IT technical teams. Partners with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Master Data teams to ensure end-to-end process integrity. Cooperates with external consultants, vendors, and implementation partners for solution improvements. Supports end users and key stakeholders during testing, training, and rollout activities.
