Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and viticulturally strong person, to join the Penfolds family as a Vineyard Supervisor. Lead a passionate and knowledgeable team to success whilst working on some of Penfold’s most iconic blocks such as Kalimna, Koonunga Hill, Block 42 and Zilms .

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team and facilitating the development and implementation of site work programs.

  • Drive employee development, education and morale to ensure high performance
  • Engage employees in continuous improvement processes to drive business performance
  • Coordinate labour to ensure quality and efficiency targets are achieved
  • Actively participate in vineyard operationsSupervise safety and quality initiatives for contractors

You will ideally have experience in viticulture (or related field), as well as be hands on and/or have operational experience in the viticulture industry. The successful applicant will enjoy engaging with employees across their team and motivating them to succeed in their role and continue to improve.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a positive attitude and can-do attitude
  • Ability to direct others
  • Strong focus on innovation and safety
  • Basic Computer Literacy
  • First Aid Certificate, Chemcert & Forklift License (favourable)
  • Be willing and able to work on a rotating roster with night work to control frost during colder months and vintageTertiary qualification in viticulture is well regarde
