AlphaGraphics of North Austin is looking for an experienced vinyl sign and event graphics installer who wants to transition into a consultative, customer-facing role—using real-world install knowledge to do site surveys, quote projects accurately, manage projects smoothly, and make sure every job goes off without a hitch. This is not a full-time installation role. You may assist with installs in rare emergencies, ride-a longs, or training—but your primary value is your expertise, not your ladder time. Important note on compensation: This role offers stability, normal work hours, and long-term career growth. Total compensation will generally be less than top-earning full-time installers, but with far less physical wear-and-tear and significantly better work-life balance. What You’ll Do Consultative Sales & Site Surveys Conduct vinyl sign and event graphics site surveys Identify install challenges before they become problems Scope projects correctly and create accurate, professional estimates Project & Customer Management Manage projects from quote through production and installation Serve as the main point of contact for customers Ensure jobs are delivered and installed on time, on budget, and done right Customers trust you, production trusts you, and projects run smoothly Collaboration Work closely with the Center Manager, production team, and installers Influence outcomes through experience and teamwork (no direct reports) Help train and mentor less experienced installers when needed Who This Role Is For Experienced installers who want to extend their career without the daily physical grind Professionals who take ownership and pride in doing things the right way People who enjoy solving problems, helping customers, and seeing projects succeed Who This Role Is NOT For Anyone looking for a commission-only or high-pressure hunting role Installers who want to avoid customer interaction Big egos who struggle to collaborate with production teams Someone who wants to “wing it” instead of following proven processes What We’re Looking For Required Experience 5+ years of vinyl sign and event graphics installation a must Strong understanding of vinyl sign materials, production methods, and installation best practices Skills & Traits Customer-focused and results-oriented Clear, professional communicator Takes ownership and pride in work Detail-oriented and organized Compensation Package Includes: Base Salary + Commission 401(k) Matching: Plan for your future with our generous matching program.
