JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Coordinator to join our team. The VDC Coordinator provides virtual design and construction services and BIM coordination for design-build and negotiated projects in the public, federal, and private sectors for the MHC project teams in both operations and special projects divisions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Graphics or Construction Management + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous large commercial construction experience.
  • Experience with VDC/BIM modeling and management software including Autodesk AEC Collection Software, Revizto, Fuzor/Synchro, Sketchup, Trimble Field Suite.
  • Create 3D and 4D models using VDC software.
  • Part 107 License or ability to get one
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Drive to pursue continued education in BIM. Willing to attend Seminars/Conferences as an MHC representative.
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic and uphold company values.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be very comfortable and effective in working in a team environment.
  • Must possess strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Position requires ability to build and maintain relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Robotic Total Station (RTS) programming digital files on XYZ coordinates for field layout. Provide knowledge and support to team and crew members on Hilti/Trimble system.
  • Create models using 3D programs (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit) for presentations and interviews
  • Create a 4D model that integrates with the with the schedule (i.e. Synchro, Fuzor)
  • Conduct BIM coordination meetings with sub-contractors, track clashes, resolve issues
  • Ability to transform 2D drawings into 3D models
  • Create 3D logistics plans, including graphic animations for preconstruction planning/site phasing
  • Create accurate 3D models as needed for plan checking and drawing QA, field production, and workflow planning/management.
  • Coordinate with field personnel regarding constructability issues, clashes, using BIM data.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge base in advanced graphic and 3D software through continued use and training.
  • Update and maintain BIM Standards and Templates
  • Provide Quality Control for Company Standards.
  • Establish Budget for BIM Implementation.
  • Report on Company’s current and projected state in-regards to BIM implementation
  • Serve as liaison with vendors, software suppliers and provide support needed for BIM software.
  • Ability to travel for projects outside the Las Vegas market, as necessary.
