JOB OVERVIEW

“Bigscreen VR” is an American manufacturer based in Los Angeles, California that creates hand-made custom-fitted Virtual Reality headsets. Quality Control Technicians are the key individuals responsible for testing these custom-fitted devices for each customer.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated “Quality Control Technician” to join our Virtual Reality hardware division. This hands-on role is based at our production facility and plays a critical part our product release.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous VR experience is a must. Home use experience is acceptable but applicants must be familiar with hardware operation and have history of daily use.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience with fine hand skills, such as electronics assembly, model making, or similar. High hand dexterity is a must.
  • Ability to learn proprietary methods and techniques efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Work fast and efficient.

  • Product Testing: Use our VR headset extensively in real-world scenarios to identify bugs, glitches, comfort issues, or performance problems.
  • User Experience Evaluation: Assess visual clarity, motion tracking accuracy, ergonomics, and comfort during extended sessions.
  • Quality Control Reporting: Document issues clearly and consistently, including steps to reproduce,
  • Collaboration: Work under the guidance of our engineers to execute assignments with precision and care.
  • Repair: Apply fine motor skills to perform detailed assembly and repairs to our VR headsets.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and clarity.
  • Consistency: Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Accuracy: Maintain a high level of craftsmanship, safety, and attention to detail throughout all processes.
