TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING This position is based in Johannesburg - South Africa ; 3 months temporary contract offered (no freelance contract or expatriation) ; Maximum 2 years of experience in a similar position especially in customer service ; Fluent in written and spoken English mandatory ; Fluent in French could be an advantage ; Start date: April 2025 WHO ARE WE ? CAPAGO is a French provider of outsourcing services for European governments and their diplomatic missions, responsible for financing and managing visa application centers to process their Schengen visa applications. We currently operate in 10 countries, and welcome more than 250,000 visa applicants each year. As part of our development, we are looking to strengthen our Operations department and are looking for a Visa Application Officer, who is dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES The main responsibilities of the VAO are as follows: Welcoming all visa applicants in the operated visa application center ; Process the visa application of the applicants (front office) ; Collect payments from the applicants (payment counter) ; Manage the biometric collection of visa applicants (biometry) ; Manage all back office tasks to finalize the visa application of our applicants (back office) ; Manage all other tasks given by the management. REQUIRED SKILLS The skills required for this position are: Excellent customer service skills ; Excellent typing skills ; Proficiency in MS Office ; Good with emails , problem solving and effective decision making ; Ability to handle pressure ; Energetic, proactive, versatile , commitment to team work and team spirit ; Motivation, communication, engagement in team work. DIPLOMAS AND EXPERIENCE Matric or equivalent ; Tertiary qualification is an added advantage ; Previous customer service experience as a Customer Service Consultant (6 months minimum) ; Speaking French is a plus.
