Vision therapists are individuals who work one-on-one in a professional clinical setting using structured programs that help children and adults achieve their best through Vision Therapy. Vision Therapists treat children with developmental learning delays and individuals of all ages who have suffered due to a traumatic brain injury. * Plan and organize patient sessions in accordance to exam findings and specific optometric and patient goals * Conduct therapy sessions that are meaningful and produce desirable results * Assign homework exercises that compliment therapy sessions * Conduct and score perceptual testing evaluations which determine if a patient would benefit from Vision Therapy sessions * Complete proper paperwork to ensure charting is in compliance with insurance regulations * Provide patients and patients parents with a complete understanding of the exam findings, session outcome and homework expectations * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy and testing rooms of the practice including making copies and supplies of home materials * Assist the doctors with letters to parents, schools, etc after examinations including vision and learning letters and re-evaluations letters * Participate in workshops to help educate patients, parents and other professionals about the impact that a functional vision problem has on learning * Maintain certification by continuing education * Communicate with doctors and other professionals about the progress of our patients * Assist with scheduling and rescheduling of therapy appointments * Consistently maintain a level of creativity and growth to ensure that the patients receive a high level of care Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree * Optical industry experience is preferred but not required * Strong people/communication and development skills Benefits * 401(k) with Match * Medical/Dental/Life/STD/LTD * Vision Service Plan * Employee Vision Discount Program * HSA/FSA * PTO * Paid Holidays *Benefits applicable to full Time Employees only.
