Description

Our clinic offers vision therapy and rehabilitation services for patients. We are looking for an individual who can administer vision testing and aid optometrists in identifying reading-related vision problems in children, post-concussion athletes, and patients with lazy eye. Extensive training will be provided to the right candidate.

A Vision Therapy Coordinator works under direct supervision of an Optometrist.

Summary of Duties include but are not limited to:

  • One-on-one direct implementation of visual perceptual testing
  • Administering tests using various ophthalmic instruments
  • Booking and managing appointments using an Electronic Medical Records system
  • Working and communicating with other optometrists, medical doctors and other health professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Managing administrative duties including inbound and outbound referrals, insurance communications, and prescription requests
  • Helping front-desk team with preliminary diagnostic testing as needed
  • Aid in writing functional visual exam reports

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a clinical/patient care setting
  • Experience working with people of different cultures and ages
  • Preferably at least 2 years of customer service experience
  • Post-secondary education in health-related field (degree, diploma, or certificate)
  • Fluent in English verbal and written communication

Schedule:

  • 4-8 hour shifts (We can accommodate part-time or full-time)
