The Department of Molecular Biosciences (MBS) at the University of South Florida invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction. This is a non-tenure earning appointment for the Fall 2026 semester to begin August 7, 2026, and conclude December 19, 2026. There is no research component associated. Hiring salary is $25,000 for the Fall 2026 semester. The Department of Molecular Biosciences is seeking an Instructor to manage our upper division laboratory courses, specifically Cell Biology (10 sections of PCB3023L – Cell Biology laboratory) and General Genetics (14 sections of PCB3063L – General Genetics Laboratory), and teach a large enrollment lower-division lecture course (BSC2010 – Cellular Processes). We expect to hire someone with broad training and an engaging personality in supporting laboratory and classroom experiences for undergraduates. The Department typically offers ~24 sections of these upper division laboratory courses in the Fall semester, taught by graduate teaching assistants. The successful candidate will be able to interact with faculty and graduate students to implement the pre-prepared laboratory course curricula for the department.
