SYDNEY LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICT (SLHD) IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED VISITING MEDICAL OFFICER IN PSYCHIATRY TO JOIN OUR CHILD AND ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry! The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required.
The Visiting Medical Officer will provide clinical management and treatment of patients at the Walker Unit and will also provide leave relief within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). They will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other equivalent specialist recognition, and completion of the Certificate in Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RANZCP) or equivalent.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
