SCHEDULED REQUIRED: MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS (8AM-4PM) AND ALTERNATE SUNDAYS (10AM-6PM)

We are looking for a Visiting Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next Visiting Nurse will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive the success of their role.
If your passion is rooted in all things client focused and you have a strong urge to provide care to a variety of patients in the community and have extensive wound care experience, then this would be the opportunity for you!

SKILLS NEEDED FOR SUCCESS:

  • You are currently certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the CNO.
  • At least 2 years’ community or clinical/hospital experience preferred.
  • You are highly organized and excel at managing your schedule.
  • You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who loves to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Currently certified with Standard First Aid & CPR/ AED (Level C).
  • Can possess current Mask Fit test.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized nursing care including wound management (VAC therapy), catheter care, and IV/PIV starts, with expertise in portacath and PICC line maintenance.
  • Deliver comprehensive support for enteral feeding (G-tube and pump), diabetic management for school-aged children, and monitor client progress in home and community settings.
  • Coordinate care and documentation with HCCSS (formerly LHIN), ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients while traveling between homes, demonstrating compassion, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, using strong problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional care with minimal supervision.
