The 7 Tesla Bioengineering Research Program (7TBRP) in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering, invites applications from accomplished individuals with a PhD or equivalent degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or closely related disciplines for a non-tenure stream Visiting Research Assistant Professor faculty position. Applicants should have more than four years of postdoctoral experience or equivalent experience carrying out independent as well as collaborative research in the field of medical imaging. Specific research foci include the development of ultrahigh field MRI methods in terms of both acquisition parameters and processing, including software developments. Specific research activities include development of advanced processing and analysis pipelines for human in-vivo and ex-vivo imaging data, correlation with histopathological data, and clinical testing/operation of the 7 Tesla scanner(s). The position responsibilities include writing grant applications and contributing to scientific advances in the field. The Visiting Research Assistant Professor will also be responsible for publishing the scientific work conducted in peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at scientific meetings. The candidate will also help support the mission of the 7TBRP. Job Requirements: PhD in BioE and experience with 7T MRI imaging and processing, including human in vivo and ex vivo.
