How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team: The Visitor Experience Ambassador is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all visitors of TRCA sites and facilities, by greeting visitors, answering general inquiries, processing gate admissions and providing directions and program information. The Visitor Experience Ambassador is also responsible for site admissions and transactions, sales assistance and transactions using point of sale systems. Major Responsibilities: Provide site admission and sound customer service to TRCA site and facility visitors. Greets and engage with visitors to TRCA sites and facilities providing directions and program information both in person and by phone Maintains a current knowledge of site and facility programs and programs at other facilities as required to ensure effective visitor experience when addressing inquiries Process admissions, gift shop sales, snack bar (dependent on location) payments and transactions using point of sale systems Cash handling including counting floats and summation of daily sales Assist with booking of events as required Provides general clerical support and duties, including stocking gift shop shelves as required Conducts basic cleaning duties to ensure a neat and tidy environment What will you need to succeed: Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses) Minimum pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent Experience Previous experience working or volunteering in a customer service capacity Knowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies Ability to communicate effectively with tact and courtesy Ability to prioritize and take action on the needs of both internal and external customers Understanding and application of basic mathematical functions (e.g., adding, subtracting, measuring, money computation) Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint Must be flexible to work all required shifts, including weekends and holidays What TRCA has to offer you: As part of a progressive team you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact to preserving and protecting nature, while maintaining a balance between the natural environment and built environment.
