JOB OVERVIEW:

Are you a talented visual art instructor with a passion for teaching? Happy Kids Studios in Richmond, BC, is seeking a creative and experienced individual to join our team. If you have a background in art, character design, and cartooning techniques, and are enthusiastic about developing a course curriculum, we want to hear from you.
As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our program developer to bring imaginative and engaging art programs to life. Your ability to inspire and lead children in a supportive and kind manner is essential, as are your organizational skills and responsiveness. A driver’s license and experience working with children are preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

As a Visual Arts Instructor, you will:
- Establish rapport with children and parents.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Create supply lists and develop curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Have an educational background in visual arts, obtained through ongoing professional
    development or completion of accredited programs.
  • Previous experience in teaching or working with children is preferred, with a minimum
    of 1 year.
  • A driver’s license is preferred.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of a satisfactory Police Information Check is
    required.

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively educate and inspire students.

    Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
