QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Primary Education.
• Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Experience in teaching Visual Arts at the primary school level is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and families.
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, fostering a caring and inclusive classroom environment.
• Design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate visual arts lessons for primary students.
• Develop a comprehensive arts curriculum that promotes creativity, artistic skills, and student voice.
• Support the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development of students through the arts.
• Uphold and actively promote the Catholic ethos and values of the school community.
• Collaborate effectively with the specialist team and wider staff to integrate arts learning within the broader school curriculum and culture.
• Participate in professional learning aligned with MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement to continuously improve teaching practice.
• Contribute to the development of a positive school culture, supporting the vision, mission, and strategic goals of St Marianne Cope Catholic Primary School.
