QUALIFICATIONS

. Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree/qualification in marketing, communications, visual design or related area preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in a visual communication-related role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with video editing experience a bonus.
  • Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction or other professional services industry is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

Brand Applications

  • Support design and development of brand-compliant collateral, including:

§ Proposal, and external presentation material like charts, graphs and layouts.
§ Digital assets and infographics.
§ Special event collateral including merchandise, invitations, and conference booth promotional content.

§ Marketing and campaign collateral for social media and brochures, including photography and video editing.

  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and assist with related company-wide initiatives as required.
  • Act as a photography and video point of contact as required.

Design Principles

  • Collaborate with the VCD design team and share in-progress designs for feedback.
  • Give design tips to marketing colleagues through team meetings and ongoing project support.
  • Thoughtfully incorporate feedback from internal clients and respond with well-considered options.
  • Proactively promote understanding of our brand guidelines and design best practice with internal clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies and design software.

Task Management

  • Manage and complete work on time to brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate with design team senior colleagues and internal clients to create and execute design solutions.
  • Seek input proactively and search out content from others; attend meetings to understand needs/scope of a project.
  • Juggle multiple projects and priorities, marrying short timeframes with high-quality work.
