JOB SUMMARY

The Product Visual Inspector is responsible for inspecting the products for defects, nonconformities and to ensure accurate accounting of product quantity for each manufactured batch.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • At least 1 year’s work experience in a GMP/GLP or ISO compliant environment in the same capacity or either in Manufacturing or Quality department.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • With excellent visual acuity as certified by a medical practitioner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

ROLE ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to GMP and ISO 13485 quality systems.
  • Perform visual inspection to manufactured product separating defects or non-conforming products from the good ones guided by the appropriate manufacturing direction.
  • Perform accounting of quantity of the manufactured product before and after inspection.
  • Accomplish batch records for each batch of product inspected and inform supervisor for any abnormality in the goods, low yield or recurring rejects.
  • Inventory management for indirect materials used in the inspection process and informing supervisor for replenishment and or requiring repairs.
  • Perform Housekeeping in the inspection area.
  • Assist supervisor in training new visual inspectors.
  • Reports to the Quality Control Manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Participation in Quality Control meetings as needed.
