To drive the development and communication of innovative, tactical programs for in-store merchandising, visual presentation and in-store signage. Partners with departmental Merchants and Vendors in product line reviews and project planning meetings to develop merchandising strategies, design initiatives, fixture concepts and communication vehicles that drive increased sales to that initiative and enhances the overall customer experience. Supports strategies to implement new merchandising objectives for the company.

SKILLS:

• Strong merchandise presentation skills
• Proficiency in Windows including PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong ability to influence without authority, and demonstrated success at partnering with cross-functional teams across a complex organization
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including written and verbal

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel within the GTA: 50%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• Requirement The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree/diploma or combination of equivalent work experience in a field of study related to the job.

MINIMUM YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Five years of work experience in a visual merchandising position in a retail environment and 2 years of project management experience is considered an asset
