Description

Liaise with VME Team, vehicle operations, engineering teams and suppliers. Lead the Stamping Single Panel feasibility process following the required metrics and timings for each loop Develop 2D/3D Stamping Process Raise Purchase Orders etc. as required for Tooling and Facilities. Lead Die Design Reviews, tooling reviews and buyoff activities. Ensuring all tools being developed to reach maximum SPM (ECR) overcoming all possible interference that can be found. Support during launch phase to ensure Engineered Cycle Rate (ECR) achieved prior production handover. Compile and report LQOS (Launch Quality Operating System) metrics + attend all launch meeting cadences Buy off tooling at supplier site, ensure timely in plant delivery timing allowing for robust launch and early PSW completion knowledge of FMEA/PFMEA methodologies and their application Assist all Launch and Sheet Metal quality activities. Support to complete PSW process and acquire required customer acceptance Work with both facility and tooling team both within to ensure all launch metrics are delivered. Support to Identify and analyze deviations from established company quality standards. Conduct root cause investigations and prevent re-occurrences Support PVT & TVM activities as required Develop and train LNE teams on all sites to be capable of: Overcoming issues such as splits and wrinkles Improving FPA to better-than-expected levels PERFORMANCE MEASURES/ SUCCESS CRITERIA Ensure project on-time delivery Develop and deliver projects to budget and cost delivery Ensure component capability and quality is achieved to standards and specifications

Responsibilities

The VME Stamping Engineer will lead the Stamping Single Panel feasibility process and ensure all tools developed reach maximum Engineered Cycle Rate (ECR). They will also support launch phases and compile metrics for quality operating systems.
